JOB TITLE(s): Sales Engineer

Job Description

Our client offers a SaaS platform for network traffic analytics derived from flow (netflow, sflow, IPFIX), BGP routing data, and a number of other sources.  We go way beyond what appliances and software-on-server solutions are capable of in terms of scale, query speed, data granularity, and flexibility.  Detect and rapidly drill down to root cause on outages, performance issues, DDoS attacks across global, terabit-scale infrastructure.  Our customers operate the biggest networks in the world:  telcos, international carriers, hosting providers, and online enterprises like Pandora, Box, Yelp, Spotify, Neustar, and Cisco / OpenDNS.  Founded in 2014 by leaders in networking and big data.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all technical aspects of sales process including product demonstration, proof of concept, customer on-boarding, feature requests, and on-site training
  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
  • Assist in development of new product marketing materials to help close sales opportunities
  • Champion of listening to customer needs and wants, and channeling product feedback and feature requests to engineering organization
  • Work in tandem with Customer Success on post-sales check-ins with customers to maintain high customer success rates, share new features and product roadmap, and help customers integrate with their own in-house tools and systems
  • Work in tandem with account executives to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual booking objectives
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and meet-ups
  • Travel to customers in designated territory

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a hi-tech sales/solutions engineering OR systems/network engineering role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct technical conversations with prospects ranging from staff level engineers and architects to senior executives
  • Experience managing Cisco/Juniper routers and your own Linux servers
  • Strong understanding of routing, switching, BGP and MPLS
  • Programming proficiency in perl and bash
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Basic database and/or SQL experience
  • Understanding of DDoS attacks and basic mitigation methods
  • Bonus Points:
    • Previous work experience selling to network and systems engineers and architects
    • Background or product interest in security, performance, monitoring, and/or infrastructure space
    • Programming proficiency in python, C, and/or Go
    • Familiarity with open source technologies such as SiLK, pmacct, and nfsend
    • Experience dealing with big data systems such as hadoop/mapreduce, time series data (e.g., opentsdb) and NoSQL databases
    • Been an early member of a sales team at a hypergrowth startup

Job Description

The Enterprise Account Executive is key to the growth and success of our client. This position is responsible for generating revenue through target accounts in the assigned territory. This will be achieved through account and territory planning, working with the sales development representative; field based sales activities and utilizing internal resources. This is a mid to senior level sales position requiring a solid history of quota and goal achievement in the software sales industry.

  • Develop a sales strategy using annual business & marketing plans to penetrate target accounts, achieve assigned territory revenue and product goals.
  • Understanding of the customer’s existing and future IT analytics needs as well as providing guidance to drive the direction of their business intelligences analytics services.
  • Work closely with Customer Success team to ensure our clients customer satisfaction and additional revenue opportunities.
  • Prospect qualification of all sales opportunities and accurate forecasting for the territory captured and updated using company CRM.
  • Managing the sales process and closing opportunities.

Qualification

  • 5+ years’ experience as top performing quota carrying sales representative penetrating large, enterprise accounts.
  • SaaS (Software as a Service) experience within a high-velocity business preferred.
  • History of quota over-achievement.
  • Experience with Analytics and Business Intelligence concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with Service Management, ITIL and ITAM concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with Service Management solutions such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, HP Service Manager or similar products are a big plus.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly expanding and changing environment.
  • Teamwork and good communication skills a must.
  • Degree level education or equivalent.

Our client is seeking a high-energy, experienced Security Solutions Architect. This individual will interface between business and technology and play a critical role in accelerating sales.

  • Lead presentations, demonstrations and conversations with senior business & technical audiences within major enterprise accounts, as well as channel partners.
  • Take ownership of the PoC and deployment process:
  • Understand customer objectives and organize PoC tests and findings accordingly
  • Coordinate logistics across all stakeholders
  • Prioritize and execute project in a methodical and disciplined manner
  • Provide 1st-level technical support throughout the sales cycle
  • Remain organized and focused on removing sales obstacles through creativity and adaptation
  • Position our client against competitive offerings, and respond to customer RFPs and RFIs
  • Develop relationships with key partners for growth within their customer base
  • Train and mentor partner technical staff on correctly positioning our solutions to prospective customers and managing deployments

Qualification
