TITLE(S): Professional Services Network Engineer

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge and knowledge in security, routing, switching, and service provider technologies. An expert in Carrier Grade Networking Services, Core Network configuration, WAN and Backbone networks, and in sectors such as Service Providers, Banking, Government, and Communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct customer consultation on our clients software, including demonstration of POCs
  • Configure, troubleshoot and perform analysis on Routers, Switches and various network elements
  • Create, document and execute test cases and scenarios within customer networks based on varying designs
  • Define network topologies and both physical & logical network configurations for internal/customer labs
  • Provide remote support to various clients on our clients products
  • Provide proactive and reactive support for both lab and production networks
  • Maintain and support customer SLAs
  • Install, monitor and maintain software/configuration of network routers, tools and applications

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications (at least two items)

  • ·Bachelor of Engineering
  • CCIE-w: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Routing and Switching
  • CCDA: Cisco Certified Design Associate
  • Diploma in Computer Engineering
  • CCDP: Cisco Certified Design Professional
  • CCNA: Cisco Certified Network Associate
  • CCIE: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Service Provider
  • CCNP: Cisco Certified Network Professional
  • ITILv3 F: Information Technology Infrastructure Library V3
    To be successful in this role you should be familiar and experienced with:
  • Ability to maintain networks – from basic implementation to the modification of route policies, prefix lists, access controls, community lists, adjacencies and inbound/outbound advertisements of routes
  • Navigating and troubleshooting Linux Operating Systems and Carrier/Service Provider network
  • The area of Lab Deployment – Designing and deploying specific lab topologies to better understand specific scenarios or to test network behavior
  • Evaluating a customer’s network requirements and modifying the configuration of devices in the network
  • Ability to evaluate packet and frame headers on control/data traffic
  • The art of relaying technical/operational information to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Documentation – Skilled in the area of recording information efficiently, coherently and concisely

JOB TITLE(s): Sr. Systems Sales Engineer

Job Description:

You will be the technical side of the Sales team, both an expert and visionary in the field. You will be responsible for educating customers, understanding their technical & business issues, managing their deployment and development projects, providing support, and helping to develop and refine its innovative solutions. You must have strong communication skills for customer presentations, industry events and providing a feedback loop to Product Management.

Duties Include:

  • Analyze customer network infrastructure for potential opportunities to demonstrate our solution’s unique capabilities
  • Work independently to evaluate prospective customers’ networks and deliver the appropriate evaluation, ROI, savings, proposed operational evolution and associated process management
  • Work closely with Sales and Engineering to resolve technical issues that arise during customer testing and demo creation
  • Create compelling test plans, demos, and customer presentations
  • Drive improved testing, demos, deployment, architecture, monitoring and reports leading to compelling pre-sales support for sales organization
  • Participate in internal projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, and improve our methodology and quality of performance testing
  • Work with customer success team during onboarding process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related field), with 10-12 years of experience in data networking environments.

    Requirements: 
    A strong technical knowledge of datacenter networking is crucial as is hands-on experience with automation as it relates to networking devices.

    • BS degree in engineering, computer science or similar relevant field or equivalent
    • Deep technical knowledge of datacenter network architecture, SDN, and large-scale private cloud networks. Knowledge of IBNS is a plus.
    • Experience with network technologies (routing, switching, automation, systems management, troubleshooting and architecture) including knowledge from the application layer down to the physical layer
    • Proficiency in configuration and troubleshooting common network vendor solutions with Cisco, Arista, Cumulus, Juniper and Snaproute a plus
    • Knowledge of automation technologies including Ansible playbooks, Chef recipes, Puppet, Python scripting and JSON programming is preferred
    • Experience using network management and troubleshooting tools
    • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

    Additional experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

    • Prior hands-on experience with large scale enterprise networking.
    • Experience working with REST APIs.
    • A strong foundation in Linux use and administration.
    • Data networking certifications i.e. CCDP, CCIE or equivalent.
    • Knowledge on SDN, Openstack, Big Data, Cloud Data Centers, and Virtualization.
    • Knowledge on network monitoring, automation, network availability and capacity planning

  • Has worked with subscription-based solutions and understands how to ensure customer retention/renewal (post sales).
  • Strong communication and listening skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to articulate use-cases and value eloquently and able to train others in this manner
  • Must have worked and interfaced with product marketing, product management and capable of assisting with sales enablement which includes content and training
  • Experience being the first SE at an early stage startup and has demonstrated the ability to be effective.
  • Excellent time management skills.
