Our client is seeking a Software Engineer – Solutions Architect with experience in public & private cloud services and technologies, DevOps, CI/CD tooling, PaaS, and Gitops automation. This is a full-time job reporting to the VP of Product & Solutions in Santa Clara, California.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with our clients’ customers, partners & communities to help define end-to-end vertical-specific solutions.
  • Ability to write code & documentation to vertical-specific solutions.

Our Client is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect (Presales) to act as a trusted technical advisor for all their prospects and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside a highly motivated sales team focused on helping prospects modernize their software development pipelines
  • Creating compelling demonstrations for our client that address the technical and business needs of the customer/prospect
  • Educating customers/prospects of the value proposition of our client

Qualifications:

  • 3 years + experience of engaging with directly with prospects, customer and clients either in a sales or consulting capacity
  • Comfortability presenting advanced technology concepts to C-level executives
  • Hands-on experience working with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift)
  • Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices, tools, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all technical aspects of sales process including product demonstration, proof of concept, customer on-boarding, feature requests, and on-site training
  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
  • Assist in development of new product marketing materials to help close sales opportunities
  • Champion of listening to customer needs and wants, and channeling product feedback and feature requests to engineering organization
  • Work in tandem with Customer Success on post-sales check-ins with customers to maintain high customer success rates, share new features and product roadmap, and help customers integrate with their own in-house tools and systems

Job Description:

You will be the technical side of the Sales team, both an expert and visionary in the field. You will be responsible for educating customers, understanding their technical & business issues, managing their deployment and development projects, providing support, and helping to develop and refine its innovative solutions. You must have strong communication skills for customer presentations, industry events and providing a feedback loop to Product Management.

Duties Include:

  • Analyze customer network infrastructure for potential opportunities to demonstrate our solution’s unique capabilities
  • Work independently to evaluate prospective customers’ networks and deliver the appropriate evaluation, ROI, savings, proposed operational evolution and associated process management
  • Work closely with Sales and Engineering to resolve technical issues that arise during customer testing and demo creation
  • Create compelling test plans, demos, and customer presentations
  • Drive improved testing, demos, deployment, architecture, monitoring and reports leading to compelling pre-sales support for sales organization
  • Participate in internal projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, and improve our methodology and quality of performance testing
  • Work with customer success team during onboarding process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related field), with 10-12 years of experience in data networking environments.

    Requirements: 
    A strong technical knowledge of datacenter networking is crucial as is hands-on experience with automation as it relates to networking devices.

    • BS degree in engineering, computer science or similar relevant field or equivalent
    • Deep technical knowledge of datacenter network architecture, SDN, and large-scale private cloud networks. Knowledge of IBNS is a plus.
    • Experience with network technologies (routing, switching, automation, systems management, troubleshooting and architecture) including knowledge from the application layer down to the physical layer
    • Proficiency in configuration and troubleshooting common network vendor solutions with Cisco, Arista, Cumulus, Juniper and Snaproute a plus
    • Knowledge of automation technologies including Ansible playbooks, Chef recipes, Puppet, Python scripting and JSON programming is preferred
    • Experience using network management and troubleshooting tools
    • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

    Additional experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

    • Prior hands-on experience with large scale enterprise networking.
    • Experience working with REST APIs.
    • A strong foundation in Linux use and administration.
    • Data networking certifications i.e. CCDP, CCIE or equivalent.

  • 8-10 years’ Experience of enterprise cybersecurity; customer facing/system engineering experience : Application Security / SaaS solutions / WAF/RASP / Other early stage security start-up experience
  • Love to work collaboratively with customers to solve hard problems
  • Can translate customer feedback into product features
  • Has worked with subscription-based solutions and understands how to ensure customer retention/renewal (post sales).
  • Strong communication and listening skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to articulate use-cases and value eloquently and able to train others in this manner
  • Must have worked and interfaced with product marketing, product management and capable of assisting with sales enablement which includes content and training
  • Experience being the first SE at an early stage startup and has demonstrated the ability to be effective.

TITLE(S): Solution Architect

Job Description:

A Solution Architect is a key member of both our clients’ sales and R&D teams. Solution Architects help customers successfully deploy and run their technology and apply what we learn from that work to the product roadmap.

In this position, you are involved with customers and channel partners throughout our clients’ relationship with them, including the following phases:

  • Understanding customer requirements and design solutions
  • Assist with the pre-sales process by answering technical questions, conducting proof of concept evaluations, and working with the R&D team to bridge any gaps
  • Provide customers with an excellent adoption experience by helping with design, deployment, and integration of our client into their environments and operational processes
  • Design and implement training materials to help our channel partners grow

    You will also work closely with the R&D team, in the following ways:

  • Sharing customer feedback, both at the macro level on general trends, and the micro level, from specific customers to shape the development of new product capabilities
  • Working with R&D team members to debug and correct challenges encountered during customer deployments and designing product changes to avoid them in the future

Qualifications:

  • SAs typically have 10-15 years of experience in highly technical customer facing roles.
  • SAs need to have depth experience in security, cloud services, Linux, and containers.
  • SAs need in depth expertise in container and DevOps technologies such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, and OpenShift.
  • SAs must also have strong general infrastructure skills and specific knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Compute Platform.
  • Security skills should include areas such as access control, runtime defense / anti-malware, and vulnerability management.

JOB TITLE(s): Sales Engineer

Job Description

Our client is seeking an individual that will provide technical support to the sales team, interface with customers, assist the sales team in designing security systems and quotes, and perform site surveys/audits for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Design security systems
  • Provide solution designs to fulfill customer requirements
  • Prepare comprehensive bill of materials and quotes
  • Respond to RFP’s & bids
  • Work with Project Managers/Operations Team Members in the execution of designed security solutions
  • Work with sales team members to educate customers on the various security products available
  • Prepare required project documentation (floorplans, scope of work, assumptions, etc…)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information and Computer Technology, Networking, IT Security from an accredited university
  • Industry certifications are a plus: CCNA, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+
  • Strong background in IT fundamentals: Experience with VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT devices, DHCP servers, and software systems; No experience with products related to physical security, cloud-based video necessary
  • Outstanding English written and verbal communication skills in order to clearly and efficiently articulate technical matters with customers and partners
  • Genuine excitement for software + hardware products and can speak comfortably about how they work
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent account management, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills that will directly impact speed and quality of response to customers and partners
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Entrepreneurial and positive attitude with a strong desire to learn
  • Willing to continue education in the various security products on the market
  • Ability to think “outside the box” and come up with designs to suit a client’s needs
