TITLE(S): Systems Engineer

Job Description:

The Systems Engineer represents our clients’ SD-WAN Solution to customers.  You will serve as the tip of spear in sales process and will play a crucial role in the success of their region.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an integral part of the Sales team
  • Build relationships with customers, earn trusted advisor status
  • Work with customers to understand their technology and business challenges
  • Lead white board sessions
  • Present in person and remotely
  • Design Solutions to solve technology and business challenges
  • Own the Proof-of-Concept Process
  • Gather Requirements and Success Criteria
  • Build the Project-Plan with timelines
  • Execute the plan
  • Present results and findings to customers
  • Manage the transition from pre-sales to post-sales
  • Deliver training to customers and channel partners
  • Participate in frequent internal education
  • Provide input on improvements including new features and/or products

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Pre-sales Systems Engineering Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ year experience supporting enterprise customers with complex LAN/WAN environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, expertise with general routing/switching, Routing protocols (e.g BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), Campus and DataCenter Architectures.
  • Deep understanding of TCP. Experience with supporting Firewalls, Load Balancers and WAN Optimization that deal with flows and applications are helpful.
  • Experience with APIs and Programmability
  • Coding and Scripting (Python, Java, JavaScript, C#)
  • Operational understanding of Enterprise Apps and Enterprise Security (IPSEC, PKI, traditional overlay VPN technologies).
  • Experience with SaaS, IaaS (AWS, GCP, Azure), virtualization and hypervisors including VMware vSphere, MS HyperV, KVM.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting skills across L1-L7, including the use of packet sniffers, on platform diagnostics.

JOB TITLE(s): Sr. Systems Sales Engineer

Job Description:

You will be the technical side of the Sales team, both an expert and visionary in the field. You will be responsible for educating customers, understanding their technical & business issues, managing their deployment and development projects, providing support, and helping to develop and refine its innovative solutions. You must have strong communication skills for customer presentations, industry events and providing a feedback loop to Product Management.

Duties Include:

  • Analyze customer network infrastructure for potential opportunities to demonstrate our solution’s unique capabilities
  • Work independently to evaluate prospective customers’ networks and deliver the appropriate evaluation, ROI, savings, proposed operational evolution and associated process management
  • Work closely with Sales and Engineering to resolve technical issues that arise during customer testing and demo creation
  • Create compelling test plans, demos, and customer presentations
  • Drive improved testing, demos, deployment, architecture, monitoring and reports leading to compelling pre-sales support for sales organization
  • Participate in internal projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, and improve our methodology and quality of performance testing
  • Work with customer success team during onboarding process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related field), with 10-12 years of experience in data networking environments.

    Requirements: 
    A strong technical knowledge of datacenter networking is crucial as is hands-on experience with automation as it relates to networking devices.

    • BS degree in engineering, computer science or similar relevant field or equivalent
    • Deep technical knowledge of datacenter network architecture, SDN, and large-scale private cloud networks. Knowledge of IBNS is a plus.
    • Experience with network technologies (routing, switching, automation, systems management, troubleshooting and architecture) including knowledge from the application layer down to the physical layer
    • Proficiency in configuration and troubleshooting common network vendor solutions with Cisco, Arista, Cumulus, Juniper and Snaproute a plus
    • Knowledge of automation technologies including Ansible playbooks, Chef recipes, Puppet, Python scripting and JSON programming is preferred
    • Experience using network management and troubleshooting tools
    • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

    Additional experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

    • Prior hands-on experience with large scale enterprise networking.
    • Experience working with REST APIs.
    • A strong foundation in Linux use and administration.
    • Data networking certifications i.e. CCDP, CCIE or equivalent.
    • Knowledge on SDN, Openstack, Big Data, Cloud Data Centers, and Virtualization.

This position reports directly to the Director of Product Management and is located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA/bay area.

In this role, you will be responsible for our client’s product line technology innovation and product management. As a key member of the product management team you will work very closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and channels to ensure timely planning and flawless delivery of product planning, management, and execution to accomplish product goals, product leadership, and competitive product differentiation. Responsibilities: 

  • Creating extensive user tutorials and agile development deliverables with a strong technical foundation to deliver successful products
  • Demonstrating deep business and technical acumen
  • Planning, pricing, packaging, forecasting, project execution to maximize adoption
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with sales, channels, and e-staff to meet and exceed product bookings targets
  • Presenting to customers, and industry leaders, and speaking at industry events
  • Partnering with engineering and operations team to deliver world-class Intent-Based
  • Networking and Intent-Based Data Center Automation products to meet customer demands
  • Working directly with customers to ensure success during early stage product evaluation, testing, trials, and deployments in labs, proof of concept environments and product deployments
  • Contributing to sales enablement including presentations, tools, content, collateral, and information used by sales, partners, and customers
  • Collaborating with marketing to define components of product launches, announcements, and marketing campaigns
  • Collaborating on planning, producing, writing, editing and publishing content such as eBooks, website content, and external blog articles
  • Remaining calm under pressure and maintaining a sense of humor

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 8 years of product management experience in high tech
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technology background and acumen with a passion for technology details
  • Exceptional business and people leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Capable of working in a dynamic, change-intensive environment, while delivering consistent operational results
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills, especially in a fast-paced cross-functional environment

In this role you will be responsible for leading, planning, developing, driving, and executing our client’s global product marketing strategy. As a leader in the marketing team you will work very closely with sales, product management, technical marketing, and engineering teams as well as our global partners and customers to ensure timely planning and flawless delivery of product marketing initiatives to accomplish sales enablement, campaign, global awareness, demand generation, competitive differentiation, and partner goals. Responsibilities: 

  • Setting and driving global product marketing strategy, value proposition, messaging, customer benefit, and competitive differentiation
  • Defining and leading global launches, announcements, and marketing campaigns
  • Presenting at customer executive briefings and speaking at industry events
  • Driving sales enablement including sales playbooks, presentations, and tools
  • Producing corporate press and industry analyst briefing presentations, generating launch presentations, press release content, and press articles for placement in industry publications
  • Planning, producing, writing, editing and publishing content such as eBooks, website content, external blog articles, and social media content
  • Presenting, speaking, and engaging with press, media, and industry analysts
  • Constructing, producing and writing how-to sell guides, partner branding and usage guides, partner portal management and newsletters for customers and partners
  • Creating webinar strategy and collaborating to create slides, industry briefs, vertical briefs (i.e., retail, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, etc.), partner solution briefs, partner marketing guides, and vertical case studies
  • Collaborating with the Product Management groups on sales and partner enablement content
  • Leading the creation of sales presentations, business decision-maker slide decks, sales content, partner content and partner presentations
  • Generating solution briefs, white papers, customer reference overviews, case studies, short vignettes, and sales funnel targeted content
  • Inventing storyboards, scripts and content for sales, customer, partner and corporate videos
  • Identifying and implementing unique and differentiated messaging, positioning, graphics and content for event banners, signage and posters, slide shows for exhibition events, and corporate brochures
  • Enabling channel partners with presentations, collateral, and digital demand generation content (email copy, web copy, landing page copy)
  • Leading the development of content for award submissions, industry analyst reports, analyst white papers, survey submissions, analyst product surveys, corporate solution
  • Briefs, and market numbers
  • Producing graphics, creative content, icons, and infographics for use in white papers, presentations and solution briefs is a plus
  • Owning, tracking and managing budgets and expenses to ensure fiscal discipline

Qualifications:

  • 8 to 10 years of product marketing experience in high tech
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Powerpoint and Google Suite products required, and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills, especially in a fast-paced cross-functional environment
