TITLE(S): Sr. Solutions Engineer

Job Description:

Our client offers a SaaS platform for network traffic analytics derived from flow (netflow, sflow, IPFIX), BGP routing data, and a number of other sources. Their customers operate the biggest networks in the world:  telcos, international carriers, hosting providers, and online enterprises like Pandora, Box, Yelp, Spotify, Neustar, and Cisco / OpenDNS.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all technical aspects of sales process including product demonstration, proof of concept, customer on-boarding, feature requests, and on-site training
  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
  • Assist in development of new product marketing materials to help close sales opportunities
  • Champion of listening to customer needs and wants, and channeling product feedback and feature requests to engineering organization
  • Work in tandem with Customer Success on post-sales check-ins with customers to maintain high customer success rates, share new features and product roadmap, and help customers integrate with their own in-house tools and systems
  • Work in tandem with account executives to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual booking objectives
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and meet-ups
  • Travel to customers in designated territory

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a hi-tech sales/solutions engineering OR systems/network engineering role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct technical conversations with prospects ranging from staff level engineers and architects to senior executives
  • Experience managing Cisco/Juniper routers and your own Linux servers
  • Strong understanding of routing, switching, BGP and MPLS
  • Programming proficiency in perl and bash
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Basic database and/or SQL experience
  • Understanding of DDoS attacks and basic mitigation methods
